Gannon University on Monday, Feb. 8 will host a showing of “By the People: The Election of Barack Obama.”

The showing is free and open to the public and will begin at 7 p.m. in room 104 of the University’s Zurn Science Center, 143 West 7th St. The event is part of Gannon’s celebration of Black History Month.

Following the movie, Andre Horton, director of the Erie NAACP and director of Obama’s presidential campaign in Erie, will lead a short discussion.
