Win Without War delegation coming to Erie August 21st
Erie, Pa -- On Thursday August 21st - Former Maine Congressman Tom Andrews,
National Director of Win Without War (http://www.winwithoutwarus.org/ [1]), and
Brigadier General John Johns (Ret.), Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense under
Ronald Reagan, will visit Erie to meet with the Erie Times-News editorial board in
the afternoon, and with local peace groups for a private strategy session from 6
to 7:30 p.m. that evening.
At their session with the Times-News editorial board, Andrews and Johns will
discuss the harm our current policy toward Iran does to stability in the Middle
East and to our national security.
They will also meet with local organizations to discuss strategies for keeping
elected officials accountable to the majority of Americans who support an end to
the war in Iraq.
Congressman Andrews and General Johns will be available at 5pm for media questionsand answers/interviews.
