Thank you for taking an interest in All Aboard Erie--The Bus Division. This is just a quick Email to let you know about a few upcoming events in February that have to do with All Aboard Erie and the bus. These are just two of the ways you can help by supporting All Aboard Erie Bus Division's efforts to improve bus service. We appreciate your help!
First, on Monday February 8th, there will be a board meeting at Hamot Heart Institute at 6:30. What makes this meeting especially interesting is that Mr. Solensky, the executive director of EMTA, is expected to be there (From 6:30-7).
Secondly, the next AAE Bus Division meeting will be held Saturday, February 20th at 11 am at the Erie Book Store, 137 East 13th Street (in Lovell Place). The purpose of this meeting is to get feedback from people who ride or have recently started to ride the bus.

Lecture to Explore Islamist Parties and Social WelfareAssistant Professor of Political Science Shanna Kirschner will present a talk titled “Islamist Parties and Social Welfare” on Tuesday, Feb. 9 at 6 p.m. in Room 105A of 400 N. Main St. (the former Oddfellows Building) on the Allegheny College campus. The talk, which is free and open to the public, is part of a lecture series on Islam by Kirschner and Assistant Professor of Philosophy and Religious Studies Vika Gardner. “Islamist parties have gained growing support in many Middle Eastern countries, causing consternation among some policy-makers,” said Kirschner. “A large part of these parties’ appeal lies in the social services they provide, as well as their oppositional status. This talk will examine the trajectories of several of these parties and what this means for regimes in the Middle East and for U.S. foreign policy.” Start: 6:00 pm
